Joseph and Derrick Penney founded Top of the Mountain Construction after years of experience across numerous trades and positions in the residential and commercial construction industry. We come from a highly accomplished family construction business in California and have spent the better part of our lives working with people — getting ourselves to where we are today through hard work and customer service.

We saw a need in Idaho and the surrounding areas for a company that is organized, available, and able to accomplish the needs of individuals and companies alike — without the parts people don't like about dealing with contractors. We communicate, schedule, stick to pricing, and make ourselves available. Based in the Treasure Valley, our work focuses on all landscaping, hardscaping, and excavation jobs — all engineered to endure the brutal freeze-thaw cycle of Idaho — from the Treasure Valley up to the McCall area.
